About This Project

Having successfully created the SlammJamm15 Motion Graphics, I was asked by the platinum sponsor of that event, Proline Skates, to create some motion graphics for their general web video media. After discussion with the media team it was clear that they really wanted to concentrate on animating the company’s logo.

I was originally going to model the logo in Cinema 4D, but after seeing the power of Element 3D I decided to use a combination of that and After Effects. I leveraged the easy use of AE’s multiple cameras to create most of the animation, and lit the scene to make best use of reflections in the logo. I was especially pleased by the result of using Optical Flares in this project, it really gave it those final touches that make all the difference.
